NFL Standouts Kerryon Johnson and Jamel Dean to Host 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament to Benefit Huntsville Students
HUNTSVILLE, AL – February 13, 2026 – The Kerryon Johnson Impact Foundation (KJImpact) is proud to announce the 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament and Scholarship Awards Banquet, scheduled for Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Hampton Cove.
The event, founded by Auburn University legend and retired NFL running back Kerryon Johnson, aims to bridge the gap for local students entering the next phase of their education. Unlike traditional scholarship programs, KJImpact splits its funding evenly between students attending four-year universities and those entering vocational or technical programs, such as Calhoun Community College.
“Our goal is to remove barriers,” says Founder Kerryon Johnson. “Whether a student is headed to a university or a trade school, we want to ensure they have the support needed to build a sustainable career right here in Alabama.”
The day’s activities begin with an 8:00 AM Shotgun Scramble, featuring celebrity players including former NFL wide receiver Sammie Coates. The event culminates in a 4:00 PM Scholarship Awards Banquet featuring a keynote from Super Bowl Champion Jamel Dean. During the banquet, local seniors who have demonstrated academic persistence (2.5+ GPA) and community commitment will be awarded scholarships.
